The Religious Freedom track at the Global Peace Convention 2019 highlighted the essential principle of freedom of thought, conscience, and religion in a free and just society. Religious freedom is a universally acknowledged right enshrined in numerous international covenants and declarations such as the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
